What is hired in plant cover?
If plant gets damaged it can slow down a job. If it's hired in, you could also be responsible to the leasing company. If plant you are hiring gets damaged, we will pay compensation costs you are liable for and costs agreed with the insurer for defence of legal proceedings.
What's covered?
This extension to our tradesman policy covers you for:
- Damage to hired plant whilst in your care
- Damage to hired in plant whilst being transported within the UK and EU
- Continued hire charges
- Legal fees for defence of legal proceedings incurred with the insurer's consent
How do I get this cover?
- Hired in plant cover is an optional extension to our tradesman insurance product
