What benefits can you get as a Trade Direct Insurance customer?
Running a trade business involves plenty of costs beyond insurance.
That’s why being a Trade Direct Insurance customer can come with more than your policy.
You could get 10% off at TradePoint and B&Q, save on fuel, try digital tools that take some of the work out of pricing and admin or earn £25 each when someone you refer takes out an eligible policy.

Here’s what you could be making use of.
Save 10% at B&Q and TradePoint
Materials can account for a sizeable part of a job, so 10% off is worth knowing about.
Trade Direct Insurance customers with a public liability insurance policy are eligible for a flat 10% discount at TradePoint and B&Q when using a TradePoint membership card.
There’s no minimum monthly spend. The discount can be used in store and online, including on eligible products already on promotion.
And it doesn’t have to stay at work.
If you’re spending Saturday sorting your own place rather than somebody else’s, the discount can still come in handy.
It could make that bathroom refurb you’ve been meaning to do a little less expensive. Or help with the cinema room the kids keep asking for.
Spend less on the fuel you’re already using
Small savings at the pump can add up when you’re regularly filling the van.
Trade Direct Insurance customers with a public liability insurance policy can apply for a free WEX Esso Fuel Card™ and save an average of 7p per litre on Esso Synergy fuels.
And the customer figures show what that can add up to.
According to WEX’s research, Trade Direct Insurance customers have collectively saved more than £116,000 on fuel since the partnership launched in September 2020.
Between February and June 2026, customers using the card saved an average of £143 a month. Your own saving will depend on how much fuel you use. But if you’re regularly filling the van, even a few pence off each litre may add up.

Make the admin side easier
Money off isn’t the only type of customer perk.
As more quotes, invoices, appointments and records move online, the right tools may cut down on some of the time spent keeping your business organised.
Is a lot of your admin still paper based? Trade Direct Insurance customers can currently access a 6-month free trial of TradeHelp PRO, compared with the standard 30-day trial.
TradeHelp PRO is business management software for tradespeople. It brings quotes, invoices, appointments, service reminders, certificates and forms together digitally.
Then there’s working out what a job is actually going to cost.
Price Doctor may help take some of the legwork out of pricing a job. The estimating software helps you calculate labour and material costs, build up your price and turn it into a professional quote for the customer.
Eligible Trade Direct Insurance customers can receive £75 cashback with a Trade Standard plan or £100 cashback with Trade Premium. Other discounts are also available, subject to the offer terms.
Not every platform will suit every business. But if you’re looking to spend less time on admin, it’s useful to know what you can already access.
Recommend someone and you can both get £25
This one can be spent entirely on you.
If you know someone who’s looking for insurance for their trade, Trade Direct Insurance has a refer-a-friend reward.
When a new customer you refer takes out a qualifying public liability insurance policy and holds it for 90 days, you can each receive a £25 voucher, subject to the offer terms.
You can each choose a voucher to spend at either Amazon, B&Q or Deliveroo. So whether it goes on something useful or simply towards dinner after a long day is entirely up to you.
And it isn’t limited to one referral. You can receive another £25 reward for each friend you refer who meets the offer conditions.
