Trade Direct Insurance Services Limited, referred to as Trade Direct Insurance, is part of Kelliher Insurance Group.

We’d like to keep you up to date with news, products, competitions and offers from Trade Direct Insurance – but don’t worry, we won’t bombard you, and we will only send you messages that relate to products or services that you have enquired about and/ or purchased from us.

We’re always working to improve and deliver our products and services to you, so to help us with this we may get in touch with you to ask for your feedback about our website.

We may share your information within Kelliher Insurance Group, as well as with carefully selected third parties who may market our products and services on behalf of Trade Direct Insurance Services Limited. We will only ever share your data with 3rd parties so that they can work with us, and we will never sell your data.

Opting out of receiving marketing messages

Please include your full name, address, date of birth and policy number (if you have one). If you contact us by email, please note we are unable to accept any liability for data which is lost or abused in transit to us.

What information is collected? How do we use it?

When you buy a policy at Trade Direct Insurance, we need to know your name, email address, postal address and debit/ credit card details. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of your order status. Please note that your debit/ credit card details are not stored on our server(s), but are merely passed through industry standard encryption processes.

We also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.

Certain parts of our web site use the SessionCam website recording service, and this includes our Public Liability quote and buy facility, as well as supporting information pages. SessionCam is a product that has been developed by ServiceTick Limited. Where it is used, SessionCam is used to record some or all of: mouse clicks, mouse movements and page scrolling, as well as data entered into website forms. The information stored does not include bank details, or credit/ debit card details, or any sensitive personal data. Information collected by SessionCam is used to improve our website usability and is stored and used for aggregated & statistical reporting, and email marketing.

We work with third parties to collect user data through our website for purposes of conversion tracking and serving ads targeted to users’ interests. You can opt out of some of these third parties’ interest-based advertising through the Do Not Track functionality in your web browser.

How is customer information protected?

When you buy online or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure web server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. We DO NOT store credit/debit card information on our server. Furthermore, as required by the Data Protection Act 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may request proof of identity before we are able to disclose information to you.

Web Analytics

We use Google Analytics to allow us to understand who comes to our website, where they have come from, the type of device they are using, and what they do while they are on our website. We do this to ensure that our website best meets the needs of our visitors, as well as us as a business. Google Analytics collects aggregated information about groups of users – not individuals, and does not collect personal information. Should you wish to opt out of Google Analytics, you can do so by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser extension.


Like many online companies, we use tools such as Google Analytics and Google AdWords to collect Remarketing data. This means that we place one or more cookies on your device (PC, tablet, smartphone), and based on what you do on our website (e.g. Get a Quotation, Purchase a Policy), we may display relevant advertisements to you on other websites and the Google search engine – based on what you did on our website. We can not, and therefore do not, store any personally identifiable information about you, within our Analytics and Remarketing tools. If you would like to opt out of this on all websites, including ours, you will need to block all cookies or see the previous section and download the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser extension.
